CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

POWER HOUR: This is the hour to give it all that you’ve got, push yourself to new limits and release all your stress! This class involves a lot of functional strength training, conditioning drills, speed and agility drills, core workouts, mobility workouts and cardio bursts. Every class is a little different, but the concept is to strengthen and condition your body, by mixing different styles of training and equipment together into one class. *As the weather gets warmer, components of this class will be moved outdoors on occasion.

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING: Made up of functional movement performed at a high intensity level. These movements are actions that you may perform in your day-to-day life, like squatting, pulling, pushing, and also include barbell movements like deadlift, Olympic lifts, etc.

HIIT: High-intensity interval training, is a training technique in which you give all-out, one hundred percent effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. This type of training gets and keeps your heart rate up and burns more fat in less time. These classes will utilize bodyweight as well as lighter weight lifting equipment (kettlebells, dumbbells, slam balls etc.) A well developed HIIT workout should last no more than 30 minutes and for this, the HIIT class will be a total 45 minute duration including warm up, stretch and cool down.

OPEN GYM: This is the time when there are no classes occurring in the gym and Open Gym only and Unlimited members may come in to train on their own.

  • HIIT, Power Hour and Strength & Conditioning classes are only available to members with Unlimited memberships.

  • All members must book their classes through Zen Planner.

  • Open Gym times available to all Open Gym and Unlimited memberships.

  • It is recommended that Open Gym members train during Open Gym time.

  • They may come in for a workout during a scheduled class time but must be aware that space and equipment will be prioritized for the active class and they must not interfere with the class.
